Who We Are | The Federated Church

Who We Are

Bringing Christ's everlasting hope, peace, and love to life.

Authentic, Adventurous,
Connected.

We are caring, authentic, and adventurous people who come from a variety of Christian backgrounds. We share a commitment to love, to serve, and to leave the world better than we found it.

Nourished by God, we are driven to speak the truth in our homes; build connections in fellowship; and carry peace and healing to our community, region, country, and beyond.

People laughing Community gathering

Open Hearts. Open Minds. Open Arms.

We engage in relevant conversations, build invigorating relationships, and restore fractured spirits.

🏠

Connecting People

We connect with people seeking faith by sharing our lives and our stories across all generations.

🌍

Beyond Our Doors

We connect with the community beyond our doors and assume our role in denominational missions.

🤝

Global Partners

We partner with our fellow Christians in Guatemala and elsewhere to participate in mission together.

Our Core Values

The foundation of everything we do.

Divine Grace

Acknowledging that it is God’s grace that makes us who we are, capable of more than we can imagine.

Our Covenant

Remembering and living out our core beliefs as expressed in our membership covenant.

Excellence

Continuing our tradition of innovative, quality worship through professional and trained leadership.

Our Structure

What is "Federated"?

"Federated" describes our united mission and ministry. We are two denominations working and worshiping together since 1911:

Presbyterian Church (USA)
United Church of Christ

We are Christian. We belong to the family of churches that proclaim Christ crucified and risen. We observe baptism and communion, following Christ's command.

SOLA

We are Reformed.

Rooted in the tradition of Martin Luther, John Calvin, and John Knox, being "Reformed" means we:

  • Affirm the great "Solas": Fide, Scriptura, Christus, Gratia, and Soli Deo Gloria.
  • Affirm a profoundly high view of the Sovereignty of God.
  • See God as the author of salvation from beginning to end.
  • Are Covenantal and Creedal, affirming historic confessions.
  • Practice the Priesthood of All Believers.

"Build connections in fellowship."
